Poster Schedule for BIOROB 2012

Poster schedule can be downloaded here.

Poster session represents an effective and valuable means for authors to present their papers. It offers the possibility of interacting with interested attendees on scientific and technical issues and hopefully establishing new collaborations.

All poster presenters will be offered the possibility of an interactive presentation where videos, small prototypes, leaflets and any other kind of multimedia material could be shown, in addition to poster. To this purpose, each poster location will be also equipped with one electrical outlet and one small table for placing your laptop and other materials you may wish to use.

Preparing your Poster Presentation

Your poster should cover the key points of your work, aiming at:

  • Providing a brief overview of your work,
  • Attracting attention,
  • Prospecting possible future works and research collaborations,
  • Promoting discussion and questions.

The title of your poster should appear at the top in CAPITAL letters about 25mm high.

The author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s) are inserted under the title. Please, consider that poster boards have size 100 cm (39 inches) in width and 250 cm (98 inches) in height. Your poster should fit within the above dimensions.

Poster template can be downloaded here.

Carefully prepare your poster well in advance. There will be no time or materials available for last minute preparations at the conference. If you think you may need materials to repair the poster after travelling, please, BRING THEM WITH YOU.

Use colour to highlight and make your poster more attractive, by using pictures, diagrams, cartoons, figures, etc., rather than only text wherever possible.

The smallest text on your poster should be at least 9 mm high, and the important points should be in a larger font. Make your poster as self-explanatory as possible. This will save your time to use for discussions and questions.

Onsite Information

Push pins or Velcro will be provided to attach your posters to the boards. Your poster must be posted at least half an hour before your poster session starts, and removed soon after your poster presentation ends. If your poster is left behind, it will be discarded.

Arrangement of poster supports

As depicted in the map below, posters are located in the courtyard of the conference venue. Poster supports are arranged in a triangular configuration (red triangles) with small tables for the interactive presentation (red circles).
