Arriving by plane
The main international airport of Rome is the "Leonardo da Vinci" airport in Fiumicino, located at about 30 km southwest from downtown. Connections to the city are available by train and by taxi.

From Fiumicino airport by train
With departures every 30 minutes, the Leonardo Express connects Roma Termini station and Fiumicino airport every day in just 31 minutes and without intermediate stops.
The first departure from Roma Termini is at 5.52 and from Fiumicino at 6.36. The last departure from the airport is at 23.36 and from Roma Termini at 22.52.
Only first class service. The fare is 14 euro.
You can buy tickets online (http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/),at the ticket desks, station machines, travel agencies, authorised sales points, and also at the Trenitalia desk near the train for 15 euro.
This service is guaranteed also in the event of a strike (if necessary, the trains will be replaced by buses).

From Fiumicino airport by taxi
Public taxis are white, with a code and the sign of the city of Roma on the doors, and with a taximeter. From the Fiumicino airport to any place downtown (within the Aurelian city walls), the flat rate is 50,00 Euro (inclusive luggage, up to four passengers, night fares apply). On most taxis you can pay by credit card. Please ask in advance. A trip to the main railway station (Stazione Termini) takes about 45 minutes, except in rush hours.

Connections between Ciampino airport and Termini railway station
Rome Ciampino is the second international airport in Rome. It can be reached via different bus routes. Daily connections between the airport and FS Roma Termini station are guaranteed by the bus services operated by ATRAL, COTRAL, SIT and TERRAVISION. The buses are parked in dedicated bus bays opposite International Departures.

FR1 metropolitan service
The FR1 metropolitan service connects FiumicinoAirport with the stations of Roma Trastevere, Roma Ostiense, Roma Tuscolana and Roma Tiburtina. The service also stops at many other stations within Rome's metropolitan area .

Arriving by train
The central railway station is Roma Termini. Information on schedules, on-line reservation and tickets for any train connection from/to Roma Termini can be found at www.trenitalia.com.
From Roma Termini railway station to the conference site
The Roma Termini railway station is a stop for both subway lines (Metro A and Metro B) and for many bus connections going everywhere in the city.
To reach the Angelicum University in Largo Angelico 1 (the main conference site) from the Termini station, walk down Via Cavour for about 500 m, then turn to the right in Via Panisperna and proceed till the end (700 m). The walk takes about 15 minutes (see the map below).

If you wish to go by public bus, take the line 40inPiazza dei Cinquecento (every 5-10 minutes), direction Castel S. Angelo, get off after two stops at Nazionale/Quirinale, and walk 150 m to the conference site. A bus ticket costs 1,00 Euro.

If you wish to go by public transportation, take the metro B (blue line) at Termini (every 5 minutes), direction Laurentina, get off after one stop at Cavour station, and walk for the last part (250 m) as before. A metro ticket costs 1,00 Euro.

Please remember that in Rome tickets are not on sale aboard public transportation - tickets have to be bought in advance [at ticket offices, tobacco shops, or news stands] and must be validated when boarding the first time. The bus ticket costs 1 Euro, and entitles its user to a single Underground ride plus unlimited bus use, within 75 minutes from its first validation
How to reach the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma
By car from Leonardo da Vinci Airport (Fiumicino), approximate distance Km 20,600.

- fastest way is through ?Raccordo Anulare? (Urban Highway Ring). From Fiumicino airport take the highway Roma-Fiumicino, direction Roma. After about 10 Kms you will find on the right two big consecutive exits for the GRA (Urban Highway Ring = Raccordo Anulare). Take the second exit, direction NAPOLI\L?AQUILA. Proceed for about 6 kms and then take exit n. 25 (via Laurentina Trigoria) ? outbound (blue signs)
- proceed in via Laurentina (outbound direction) and follow the signs to Università Campus Bio-Medico
- enter the turnaround and take the first exit, via di Vallerano, and proceed for about 300 m till the next turnaround
- enter the turnaround and take the second exit: this is via Alvaro del Portillo
- straight for about 1.5 Km
- the UniversityHospital is on the left .
- the PRABB is after the University Hospital on the right.
- the CESA is after the PRABB, at n. 5. The free parking is near the bulding
By taxy
The taxi fee (white cars) from the airport should be ? 50/60.
Note: Should the navigator of the taxi ignore Via Alvaro del Portillo, tell him to go to ?Trigoria via dei Compositori (old address)?
By public transport (bus 707 or 071) from Termini Central Railway station (and downtown)
Take underground B-line ("Laurentina" direction), till "EUR Fermi" station. When you leave the metro station up the stairs to your right the bus stop (071) is just at corner in front of you (Viale Boston ). The line 071 (every 25?) first passes in front of the Hospital and then at the main entrance of PRABB and of CESA. Otherwise you can walk to Via dell?Arte and turn right. There is another bus stop (071 and 707) at about 50 metres (see also this map to find the bus stops)
The line 707 (each 10? in the rush hour and every 20? between 9:00 and 16:00) stops at the main entrance of PRABB and of CESA first and then in front of University Hospital.The trip willtakes about 25? with both buses.

From the Università Campus Bio-Medico to Termini Central Railway station
- take the 707 line bound to PIAZZALE AGRICOLTURA and get off at VIALE DELL?ARTE stop to commute on the underground system (EUR FERMI Station ? bound to REBIBBIA).
Or
- take the 071 line (from its terminus if you are at the PRABB, or in front of the University Hospital) bound to EUR Fermi and get off at the EUR Fermi station (terminus) to commute on the underground system (EUR FERMI Station ? bound to REBIBBIA).
Note:Please plan for a 70-80 mins trip for commuting from Rome downtown to Campus Bio-Medico University and viceversa
